How many years have you done the peloton ride?:
Why are you riding in the peloton?:
Cancervie has become my company's flagship event. Advanced Safety Paramedics has been involved with Cancervive since 2008, the ride to Philadelphia. As a corporate sponser I am proud to be part of this unique organization, aiding cancer warriors and their families througout their journies.
My family has been affected by cancer, losing my mother in law in 2009 at the age of 52, and a great friend of mine losing his battle in 2011.
This ride is for all of the people battling this disease, the ones who do need a break from the treatments and the constant life changing events that this disease is responsible for.

The Verve - Bitter Sweet Symphony
Riding Solo - Jason Deruo
Nova Heart - Spoons
Hard Sun - Eddie Vedder

Who are you riding for?:
Kathy Smachylo (late)

Lloyd Lilly my Dad
What do you hope to get out of the experience this year?:
Every year there is so much to learn. I look forward to not knowing what to experience.
What are you looking forward to most?:
The challenge that the weather and hills bring. At the most tired exhausting moment.....the thing that gets me past it all is the realization that I do not have to go through chemotherapy or radiation.
Anything I encounter along the way is much easier than going through what most Warriors go through......I look forward to seeing the Warriors the most at the finish line.
What is your biggest fear for this journey?:
That someone farts in the VAN!!
If cancer walked into the room, what would you say to it?:
I would like you to meet my little friend!!! Then inject it with some of finest, hardest, chemicals around!! Experiment on it!
What are your top 5 inspirational songs?:
What makes you pedal harder—(when the riding gets tough, what do you think about)?:
I think about God, my wife Stephanie, and my awesome 4 kids, Nicholas, Shaya, Brenden & Ryder. I think they are pretty awesome for letting me do this, away from home for two weeks, for the 5th straight year!!!
